Hi, I'm Vass. I live in the north of Melbourne with my cat Beatrice, where we enjoy taking naps. I write about Melbourne, books I've read, fanfic (including slash), comics, singing and opera, religion, politics, feminism (and other isms, including racism, classism and disablism,) queer stuff, mental health stuff, light verse, Classics, and if you're very unlucky, Care Bears and My Little Ponies. Sometimes I try to get more proficient with Unix. I'm longwinded, and I use parenthesis too much.
Friending, filtering etc policy: this journal is somewhat friends-locked. I filter the heavier stuff more tightly, for your sake and my own. If I've friended you, it's probably because I wanted to read what you write. If you've friended me and I know who you are, I'll probably add you back. I sometimes go through random declutterings of my friends-list, and it's nothing personal, just a time thing.
